Information Form

Anyone who wants to register a quilt but can't make it to Winslow or out to one of our dates on the road can photograph the quilt themselves, as closely as possible approximating the composition of the photos on this site, then print off the information form below and fill it out. Mail the photos and the completed info form to Ozark Folkways at 22733 N. Hwy 71, Winslow, Ar, 72959, and we'll get it all digitized and entered onto the site.

Arkansas Quilt Heritage Day

Saturday, May 20, 2006 is the date of Arkansas Quilt Heritage Day at Ozark Folkways.
This is an all-day event featuring live music by the Early Morning Bourbon Girls, demostrations by artists and craft guilds, pig-in-gound pit barbeque with plenty of other homecooking, and most importantly the kickoff of the Arkansas Quilt Registry. This Heritage Day event begins at 10:00 AM. We want as many people as we can get to bring their valued quilts to Winslow. We'll be set up to photograph and take information on as many quilts as show up, all of which will become part of the Arkansas Quilt Registry, a permanent internet database.
In order to broaden the scope of the Registy we will be going on a tour of Arkansas in early June to document quilts around the state. Check back with this blog soon for an update on locations and dates for this tour.
