Thank You

I'd like to belatedly thank all of the quilters and shop owners all over the state who have helped start the Arkansas Quilt Registry off with a bang. Also well deserving of our thanks is the Department of Arkansas Heritage, without whose generous grant the Registry would not have begun at all. If you have a quilt that should be a part of this project there are several ways to get it registered. If you are part of a quilting group or guild and would like to schedule a date for numerous quilts to be registered, you can send an email to arkansasquiltregistry@gmail.com or call Ozark Folkways at 479-634-3791. The Registry will also be coming to several quilt shows later in the year, or, you can photograph your quilt yourself and print out the Information Form located to the right under Links, and mail it in to us at 22733 N. Highway 71, Winslow, AR, 72959. In the meantime, there will be new quilts added to this site daily at the rate of approximately five to ten a day until I get caught up with what we have already. After that, new quilts will be added as they are registered. Again, thank you all very much for helping preserve and promote the rich history of quilting in Arkansas.
Best Wishes,
Ryan Trusell
Project Director
